FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing aminomethylated bead polymers which can be used as anion-exchange resins or can be converted to chelate resins. Method of producing aminomethylated bead polymers consists in that, at the first stage, the monomer droplets from the mixture containing at least one monovinylaromatic compound, at least one polyvinylaromatic compound, at least one initiator, is reacted. Further, the obtained beads polymer is reacted with a N-methylphthalimide ester of a carboxylic acid in the presence of aliphatic, saturated or unsaturated carboxylic anhydride or carboxylic acid anhydrides, in the presence of at least one Friedel-Crafts catalyst. This step is carried out in absence of 1,2-dichloroethane. Obtained phthalimidomethylated bead polymer is hydrolysed to an aminomethylated bead polymer. Amount of N-methylphthalimide ester of carboxylic acid, bead polymer, aliphatic, saturated or unsaturated carboxylic anhydride or carboxylic acid anhydrides and Friedel-Crafts catalysts, together in reaction mixture is more than 80 wt. %, in terms of total amount of reaction mixture.
EFFECT: invention increases output of aminomethylated bead polymers.
