FIELD: blasting operations.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of blasting cord and can be used in production of cords operating under conditions of high temperatures and pressures, and in aggressive media. Technical result is achieved by improving mechanical properties such as water resistance for 24 hours, elasticity at temperatures minus 50 °C and plus 50 °C, heat resistance at temperature of 190±10 °C, frost resistance at temperature minus 50 °C, thermopressure resistance at temperature 150 °C and pressure of 100±5 °C, resistance to aggressive media is achieved by making a protective layer of a detonating cord in the form of a shell of Zytel LC 7601 resin obtained using polyamide PA-612 HIP and a plasticiser in amount of 5–7 %. Shell is extruded with automatic control of constancy of feed rate and continuous control of cord shell thickness. Brazing is performed by compressed air. Marking is applied on pre-compacted cord with applied coating. This allows cords to function under conditions of high temperatures, high pressure and aggressive media.
EFFECT: improved operational characteristics of a detonating cord.
