FIELD: fabrics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for producing terry fabric by weaving a ground warp of cotton yarn with a linear density of 20 to 25 tex × 2, a weft of cotton yarn with a linear density of 25 to 40 tex and a loop base made by alternating bleached cotton yarn with a linear density of 50 tex and blended greige yarn with a linear density of 40 to 60 tex consisting of linen and cotton fibres at a weight ratio of 60:40. After weaving, in the process of final finishing, the fabric is washed twice at a temperature of 50 to 60°C for 10 to 15 minutes each, treated with a hydrophilic softener in the following ratio of components, % wt.: hydrophilic softener 2.0 to 3.0; fixative agent 1.0 to 2.0; aqueous dispersion of an acrylic polymer 0.3 to 0.5; water up to 100; acetic acid up to the pH of 5.5.
EFFECT: increase in the operational properties of terry fabrics made of natural fibres.
