FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to microwave equipment and can be used in designing devices on magnetostatic waves in the gigahertz range of frequencies. Functional element of magnonics contains a nonmagnetic substrate, a ferromagnetic film of iron-yttrium garnet (YIG) placed on it, microstrip converters for excitation and reception of magnetostatic spin waves (MSW) in the YIG film, a magnetic field source. On the surface of the substrate adjacent to the YIG film, a meander structure is formed from the grooves, the longitudinal axis of which is perpendicular to the propagation direction of the MSW. YIG film repeats the outline of grooves, side faces and socket, and the magnetic field of the magnetic field source is oriented perpendicular to the substrate plane with possibility of volumetric MSW excitation in the YIG film.

EFFECT: technical result is broader functional capabilities of element, possibility of interconnection between magnon elements in multilayer three-dimensional structures.
