FIELD: chemistry of hydrocarbons. SUBSTANCE: hydrocarbon stream is affected by cracking, thus prepared hot gaseous stream is compressed and is cooled to condense almost all hydrocarbons comprising in stream. Noncondensed stream which remains after condensation stage and which comprises mainly hydrogen and $$$-hydrocarbons is affected by adsorption. The latter process is carried out by using of differences in pressure or by adsorption by using temperature differences, adsorption temperature being from about 0 to about 250 C in the layer of adsorbent. Adsorbent selectively adsorbs ethylene and propylene, thus mainly the most amount of ethylene and propylene of gaseous stream are adsorbed.
