FIELD: hygiene.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to oral care. Composition for oral care in the form of an aqueous suspension contains 0.3 wt % film fragments containing zinc oxide particles; said film fragments are embedded in an aqueous composition containing 1.5 to 2.2 wt % sodium lauryl sulphate; from 0.5 to 5 wt % surfactant cocamidopropyl betaine and from 2 to 3 wt % organic solvent of polyethylene glycol, the polyethylene glycol is PEG-600; all weight percentages are based on the total weight of the composition, and the zinc oxide particles are present in amount of 1,000 particles per million to 2,000 particles per million based on the total weight of the composition; wherein the total amount of zinc ions is present in the composition for delivery to the tooth surface.
EFFECT: invention provides stability of zinc oxide films in an oral care composition.
