SUBSTANCE: invention refers to dentistry and represents an oral care composition containing a film included into a carrier, a film-coated zinc-containing compound, a polysaccharide thickener and maleic anhydride copolymer, wherein the polysaccharide thickener have no more than 0.5 charged groups per a carbohydrate residue along a main chain of the polysaccharide.
EFFECT: invention provides an improved zinc solubility thus allowing the use of less zinc compounds, reducing the unpleasant astringent taste added by zinc, reducing side effects caused by the presence of zinc ions, improving the aesthetic qualities, improving stability for active or other functional materials, and controlled delivery of active substances, such as zinc.
