FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to traumatology and orthopedics, and can be used for treating fractures of diaphysis of long tubular bones. Method involves conducting wires with thrust areas until tight contact of stops to cortical surfaces of fragments taking into account location of neurovascular formations, fixing and tensioning them in semi-rings of external fixation apparatus, reposition and retention of fragments until their adhesion. Three wires are delivered through each fragment in accordance with fig. 1. At that, two pins with thrust pads are arranged parafracturally parallel to each other in one plane with their stops arranged mutually opposite.

EFFECT: method provides a high degree of elimination of displacement of fragments along a fracture line and rigid fixation until their adhesion, reduces the frequency of developing a false joint due to the possibility of early load on a limb in the postoperative period.
