FIELD: wireless communication equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wireless communication networks, and in particular, to directional communication protocols in range of 60 GHz millimetre wavelengths. AP can generate special 8-bit values and fill 8 most significant bits (MSB) from 16-bit AID field to generate AID BSS EDMG. Beam generation may involve performing a sector-level scanning process (SLS) by a station, including successively transmitting a plurality of short-sector scanning (SSW) frames to a different station using corresponding antenna sectors, and successive reception of multiple frames with short SSW from another station, wherein frames with short SSW have format of addressing field, which accurately determines ID of association of address of receiver (AID RA) and ID of association of address of transmitter (AID TA). Special 8-bit value can be used as AID AP.

EFFECT: disclosed is a frame format with a short SSW for the process of forming an SLS beam between connected associated stations, as well as a method of preparing wireless communication.
