SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wireless communication. Following describes a training method for beamforming for association (A-BFT) between an access point that is functionally connected to multiple stations via multiple channels. Method includes: receiving the first intersectional scanning frame (SSW) from the first station on the first channel; receiving a second SSW frame from the second station on the second channel; processing the first and second SSW frames to determine the corresponding first and second feedback frames on the intersector scan (SSW feedback); and transmitting the first and second SSW feedback frames to the first and second stations, respectively, while the second SSW frame may be orthogonal to the first SSW frame, and wherein the first SSW frame can be encoded with spectral broadening using the first encoding sequence with spectral broadening, second SSW frame may be encoded with spectral broadening using a second encoding sequence with spectral broadening, and the first and second encoding sequences with spectral broadening are mutually orthogonal.

EFFECT: method and apparatus for performing training in beamforming for association in a wireless network is disclosed.
