SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine and can be used for early differential diagnosis of haemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome (HFRS) against exacerbation of chronic pyelonephritis. Method is realized by determining the patient's absolute leukocyte count, hemoglobin concentration, alanine aminotraseferase, ferritin, total protein in blood and urine leukocyte content, calculating the discriminant function value by formula DF=0.9495x1-0.2679x₂+0.1304x₃-0.0088x₄+0.7695x₅+0.4872x₆, where DF is the discriminant function value; x₁ – absolute leukocyte content in total blood analysis, 10⁹/l; x₂ is hemoglobin concentration in total blood analysis, g/l; x₃ – concentration of alanine aminotransferase in biochemical blood analysis, IU/l; x₄ – content of ferritin in biochemical blood analysis, mcg/l; x₅ – content of total protein in biochemical blood analysis, g/l; x₆ – content of leukocytes in urine, number in field of vision. Obtained value is compared with a constant equal to 24.561 and if the discriminant function is less than or equal to 24.561, the patient is diagnosed with haemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome, and if observing the other values, the patient is diagnosed with chronic pyelonephritis.

EFFECT: invention provides early differential diagnosis of haemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome (HFRS) against exacerbation of chronic pyelonephritis with high accuracy.
