METHOD FOR TREATING ONYCHOMYCOSIS OF FEET Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC A61P31/10 A61K31/4174 A61N1/18

Abstract RU 2698454 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine and can be used in dermatology for treating onychomycosis of feet. Invention relates to a method for treating onychomycosis of feet comprising using antifungal preparations terbinafine, bifonazole and naftifine hydrochloride, additional sanitation of mycotic infection focus by exposure to currents of ultrasonic frequency on affected nail, periungual rolls and growing nail roots. There is additional sanitation of the mycotic infection center by exposing the injured nail plate, periungual rolls and growing nail roots to the areas of the affected nail in the main course of treatment with the condition of the daily single dose 2 hours before ultratone therapy session 250 mg terbinafine, that is followed by cutting or shearing affected nodules and performing local ultratone therapy with parameters of high-frequency current exposure to high-voltage 2 mA of not more than 6 kV, generated with frequency of 22 kHz with a clearance over the treated surface of 1–2 mm and exposure of 20–30 seconds per 1 cm2 area of the focus – in the area of periungual rolls and 30–50 seconds – in the area of the nail plate, then 1 % solution of bifonazole is applied on the centers. Therapeutic course makes 15–20 procedures every 15–20 days, for total of 4 courses throughout the entire period of taking terbinafine. If after 16 weeks of therapy, positive results of microscopic examination on mushrooms are maintained, then only external therapy is continued with the condition of replacing bifonazole with naftifine hydrochloride solution immediately after ultratone therapy session and 12 hours afterwards.

EFFECT: two-sided sanation of the mycotic infection center, reduced course of systemic and local antifungal therapy.
