FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to control methods intended for changing shape and dimensions of structures. Method of modal control of quasi-static linear-elastic motions of structures consists in the following. Measuring changes in the shape and dimensions of the structures and conversion of these changes into actions of actuators designed to deform the structures. Actuators apply effects in form of forces or displacements, number of which is equal to number of parameters of compensated changes of shape and dimensions of structure. Creating actuators in the entire displacement structure, corresponding to superposition of natural oscillation modes of the structure simulator having the same geometric shape and the same elastic properties as the deformable structure itself, but with zero density and single concentrated mass fixed in connection places of actuating mechanisms, which are considered only in direction of application of forces from actuators.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of control accuracy of quasi-static linear-elastic changes of shape and dimensions of structure.
