FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a ceramic binder, a composite structure comprising a binder and a method of forming a cured ceramic structure. Ceramic binder comprises at least one fibrous material, fluxing agent and thickening agent, wherein the fibrous material has a coefficient of thermal expansion similar to the coefficient of thermal expansion of at least one substrate component. Composite structure comprises first and second substrates with different coefficients of thermal expansion, binding material and fibrous material. Method of forming a hardened ceramic structure comprises applying a binder, heating the ceramic structure, wherein the ceramic binder material is annealed at a given temperature to bond two adjacent ends of the substrate.
EFFECT: technical result achieved by using group of inventions is to ensure attachment of ceramic foamed articles without significant effect on porosity and air flow characteristics of said material.
