FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to helmets for soldiers, policemen, etc. Note here that propose helmet comprises rounded body with top and peripheral surface to define inner volume. Note here that said rounded body included outer ply a containing ceramic material directed from outside to inside. Note also that (i) ceramic material is shaped to solid monolith following the rounded body curved shape. Or, (ii) ceramic material is composed of multiple ceramic plates following the round body shape. Note also that several or all plates of ceramic material feature non-planar shape. Besides, b inner liner comprises multiple fibrous plies including fibres of high specific strength, optionally in tar matrix wherein multiple fibrous plies are secured to solid ply. Note (i) the inner liner comprises fabric with substrate and weft directions. Mind that said fabric has 5.9-21.6 threads per cm in said both directions. Or, (iii) fibrous plies include polyethylene fibres of high specific strength equal to or higher than 35 g/d.

EFFECT: higher resistance against high-kinetic energy fragments and rifle bullets.
