FIELD: water treatment.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in water treatment. Device of electric coagulation reactor (ECR) comprises corrosion-resistant cylindrical cell 110 containing multiple plate electrodes arranged horizontally in pile. Plate electrodes are held in a pair of non-conductive inserts in the form of a half-moon with slots. Each of the plate-like electrodes is located in a plane perpendicular to inlet 102 and outlet 104 for waste water hole. Current-conducting rod passes along the length of each of the upper and lower contact electrodes placed horizontally in the pile. Device of ECR additionally comprises two end flanges 106, 108, each of which contains internal elements of flow deflection to ensure continuous twisting flow of waste water in the cell. Wastewater treatment is ensured by continuous tortuous flow between each of plate-like electrodes inside the cell from the inlet hole in the lower part to the outlet hole in the upper part of the cylindrical cell.

EFFECT: disclosed invention provides a reliable and compact device for electrochemical purification of waste water.
