SUBSTANCE: invention relates to paper suitable for making protected documents and to a security document made from said paper. Paper contains fibrillated synthetic fibres and a mixture of non-fibrillated synthetic fibres with different shape factors in cross section, in particular, a mixture of non-fibrillated synthetic fibres of round cross section and flattened cross section.
EFFECT: improved mechanical properties of paper, particularly increased resistance to rupture.
