SUBSTANCE: invention relates to two-dimensional fabric (20), as well as to a method for production thereof. Two-dimensional fabric (20) is used to make three-dimensional composite part. Two-dimensional tissue comprises dressing system (21) with base dressing and/or dressing weft threads (24), as well as reinforcing system (22) with reinforcing weft threads (25) and/or reinforcing warp threads. At least a part of laid reinforcing threads (25) is made as shortened reinforcing weft threads (25a) and/or shortened reinforcing warp threads. Their length (L) is less than length of dressing weft threads (24) or dressing warps. Shortened reinforcing thread stretches between its free ends, which are in corresponding end position (30) or (31) of thread. Thread length and the corresponding end positions (30), (31) of the shortened reinforcing thread in two-dimensional fabric (20) are set by the three-dimensional shape of the manufactured composite part.

EFFECT: as a result, it is possible to reduce amount of wastes during cutting when producing preform and costs for cutting reinforcing threads.
