SUBSTANCE: invention relates to computer engineering. Method of decoding video data comprises steps of: determining an initial quantisation parameter (QP) for a luminance signal component; for video data coding unit (CU) encoded with colour space conversion activated, setting the final QP for the luminance signal component such that the final QP for the luminance signal component is equal to the sum of the initial luminance signal QP component and the non-zero QP offset for the luminance signal component; inversely quantised, based on the final QP for the luminance signal component, a coefficient unit for the CU; applying inverse transformation to a coefficient unit to form a residual block; decoded video unit is formed by summation of residual unit and predicting unit.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of encoding accuracy of in-loop conversion of colour space.
