SUBSTANCE: present disclosure relates to encoding and decoding video. Method of encoding video data includes encoding from a bitstream of an encoded video, a syntax element which indicates whether the transposition process is applied to the palette indices; decoding from a bit stream of encoded video and in a position in a bit stream of encoded video, which is located after the syntax element, which indicates, whether the transposition process is applied to the palette indices for the palette for the current video data block of one or more syntax elements related to the delta quantisation parameter (QP) and/or chroma shifts QP for the current video data block; and decoding the current palette-based video data block for the current video data block and one or more syntax elements related to the QP delta and/or chroma QP shifts for the current video data block.
EFFECT: technical result is improved efficiency of coding screen content.
