FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing swollen granules from a polymer melt containing a foaming agent. Method of producing foamed particles of thermoplastic polyurethane involves the following steps. Thermoplastic polyurethane melting step is carried out in the first extruder E1. Stage of gaseous foaming agent injection is carried out in the second extruder E2. Stage of homogeneous impregnation of foaming agent into melt of thermoplastic polyurethane, carried out in third extruder E3. Also, the stage of extrusion of the impregnated melt of thermoplastic polyurethane through the profiling strip and melt granulation in the underwater device for granulation under conditions of temperature and pressure with formation of foamed particles of thermoplastic polyurethane.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of control of process parameters.
