FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemical modification of elastomers and can be used in production of synthetic elastomers, tires and industrial rubber articles. Chlorine-containing elastomer is obtained by reaction of an elastomer and a chlorine-containing reagent in a continuous-action twin-screw extruder at a temperature in the compounding region of 90–150 °C for 1–3 minutes. Chlorine-containing reagent used is a chlorinated hydrocarbon of general formula CnH(2n+2)-xClx, where n=20–40; x=10–25. Elastomer is taken in amount of 75–98 pts.wt, and hydrocarbon in amount of 2–25 pts.wt.
EFFECT: simplification of technological process, reduction of stages and time, provision of technological and ecological safety of production, increase of process efficiency.
