FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method for chemical modification of elastomer involves elastomer interaction with a chlorine-containing reagent, which is a chlorine-containing hydrocarbon of the general formula CnH(2n+2) -xClx, where n=10-30, x=7-24. The reaction is carried out with stirring in a non-polar solvent at a room temperature with the following component ratio (wt %): chlorine-containing hydrocarbon 1-3, elastomer 5-20, non-polar solvent - the rest.
EFFECT: invention allows to obtain a product with an increased content of chlorine with a reduction in energy consumption and simplification of the technology and allows to use it in ready-made form.
