SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to porous fibres which can adsorb a substance to be removed in a fluid to be efficiently treated, to an adsorbent material obtained by using porous fibres in the form of a beam, and to a purification column containing porous fibres. Porous fibres satisfy the following conditions (a), (b) and (c) and have a shape in which three or more protruding parts continuously extend in the longitudinal direction on the periphery of the solid-state fibre: (a) degree of modification of Do/Di in cross section ranges from 1.2 to 6.6 when diameter of inscribed circle is denoted by Di and diameter of circumscribed circle is denoted by Do, (b) pore specific surface area is 50 m2/g or more and (c) relative ratio of surface pores is 30 % or less.
EFFECT: invention provides creation of porous fibres having excellent removal characteristics with respect to the material to be adsorbed, as well as a cleaning column containing adsorbing material obtained by bonding fibres into bundles.
