FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to lighting engineering, specifically to a light-emitting diode lamp and to a method of illuminating a high-grown agricultural crop in a closed ground. Luminaire comprises heat-conducting housing consisting of several separate longitudinal profiles (1) of solid cross-section, with LED module (2) placed on each of them. Plates of external surfaces of profiles (1) form equilateral polygon in cross section of housing. Profiles are interconnected by connectors (3) with formation between nearby edges (4) of nearby profiles (1) of air gaps (5) with widths B and C with observance of inequality B ≤ C, where: B is the width of the air gap between the longitudinal edges of the profiles at the lower end face, C is the width of the air gap between the longitudinal edges of the profiles at the upper end. In method of illuminating a tall crop is used in a lantern according to claim 1.
EFFECT: technical result is highly efficient heat removal from the LED module into the environment, which allows to increase the luminaire power to several hundreds of watts.
