SUBSTANCE: present disclosure relates to systems, methods and a computer-readable storage medium for segmenting a medical image. Embodiments of the present disclosure may localize the target in three-dimensional (3D) volume. For example, the imaging device may provide medical 3D image containing a target region of interest. Processor can then retrieve plurality of 2D cuts from 3D image. Processor may also determine 2D patch for each 2D slice, wherein 2D patch corresponds to section of 2D slice associated with the target. Processor may also convert 2D patch to an adaptive filter model to locate a region of interest.
EFFECT: technical result consists in accurate localization and tracking of tumour in anatomy of patient.
