Device for controlling food and / or drinking by a subject comprises a control unit which comprises a first acquisition module configured to obtain measurement results of one or more physiological characteristics of the subject; a second acquisition module configured to obtain measurement results of eddy currents generated in the body of the subject under the action of an applied external magnetic field; an installation module configured to set a corresponding cutoff frequency for one or more filtering links based on a corresponding frequency for each of said one or more physiological characteristics; filtering module configured to filter eddy current measurement results using one or more filtering links to exclude signal components caused by one or more physiological characteristics; and a processing module configured to process the filtered measurement results to determine whether food and/or drinking is present in the subject's stomach.

EFFECT: method and device for controlling food and/or drink intake by a subject are disclosed.
