FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to lighting engineering. Lighting device (10) is configured to illuminate surface (32) having proximal portion (34) and remote portion (36) relative to the lighting fixture. Lighting device includes light source (12) configured to emit light beam (28) and optics (40) disposed between the light source and a surface to vary the emitted light beam in order to have a virtually uniform vertical distribution of illumination over the surface. Input optic surface (39) faces the light source and has convex portion (41) of the lens which directs a portion of the emitted light beam to a remote surface portion and concave portion (43) of the lens which directs a portion of the emitted light beam to the near surface portion.

EFFECT: technical result is improvement of indirect lighting device by creation of uniform illumination of surface from illumination device arranged with small indent.
