SUBSTANCE: method of reversible adaptation and energy absorption of a seat of a vehicle involves seating a user in an armchair, translating the surface of an armchair in contact with the body from a rigid state into a flexible condition, acceptance of the required position by the user and transfer of the surface of the chair contactable with the body from the flexible state to the hard one. Device is made in the form of seat and chair back from porous hygroscopic material with blind holes, uniformly located on opposite side from surface contacting with body. Armchair seat and back are equipped with triaxial units of accelerometers and temperature and humidity sensors uniformly distributed inside it. Inputs of blind holes are connected to drain holes of branched pipeline, inlet and outlet of which are connected to output and input of air humidification and dehumidification system, including air distributor, air humidification and dehumidification devices electrically connected together with triaxial accelerometer units, temperature, humidity and pressure sensors with computer control system.

EFFECT: higher comfort, reliability and safety of chair.
