FIELD: soil science.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to determination of physical properties of soil and can be used in surveys at reclamation facilities, in agro-industrial complex and during construction. Device for measuring hardness of soil includes a hardness sensor, coupled with a measuring instrument, which is connected to unit for automatic recording of force, depth of position of sensor and geographic coordinates of well using navigation system, for example, GLONASS/GPS. Soil hardness sensor is made in the form of a mechanism including two mounting elements interconnected by a rhombic system of levers, at the same time upper ends of rhombic system are pivotally attached to edges of the upper element. Lower ends of the levers forming this system are pivotally connected to the edges of the lower element, in the middle part of the rhombic system of levers the hinge connection of the upper and lower is made with formation of double-arm levers, on short arms of which detachable blades are mounted, in the middle of the upper mounting element there is a threaded hole, and through the threaded pipe, a rope is passed, one end of which is fixed on the lower mounting element, and the other end – on the winch coil connected to the measuring instrument – by a dynamometer fixed on the bearing support.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of accuracy of measurement process, providing efficiency of transmitting measurement results, increasing depth of studied layer of soil.
