FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to special metallurgy and can be used in electroslag remelting of waste products from various metals and alloys into ingots, for example, CCM rollers. Flux contains, wt%: lime 20.0–22.0, alumina 21.0–23.0, calcium hexafluorosilicate – the rest.
EFFECT: flux ensures obtaining of good ingot surface without corrugations and high rate of remelting, it is easy to manufacture, since its composition consists of inexpensive, widely available wastes of industrial production, and also has high desulphurating properties.
