SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a beverage preparation system comprising capsule (10) and module (1) for preparing a beverage from a capsule, capsule (10) comprising shell (10a) and rim (10b), and module (2) comprises first capsule actuating element (3), which can be offset relative to second interacting element (2d) of activating capsule between capsule unloading position and beverage preparation position, and configured to displace first capsule actuating element (3) comprises retainers configured to hold capsule therein, wherein the module comprises at least two means (7, 7a, 7b) for interacting with the capsule rim extending beyond the first capsule actuating element, when first capsule activation element (3) is shifted from beverage preparation position into capsule unloading position, and retaining means are separate hooks (341, 342) configured to interact with capsule rim (10b), and the retaining means are configured such that during displacement of first element (3) of the capsule from the beverage preparation position into its capsule discharge position, one (7b) of the two interaction agents interacts with the capsule rim before other agent (7a) for interaction.

EFFECT: there is provided a beverage production system comprising a capsule and a module for producing a beverage from the capsule.
