SUBSTANCE: capsule for beverage preparation when injecting liquid into the capsule by means of a beverage preparation device comprises a cup-shaped base body for arrangement of beverage preparation ingredients and flange-type rim with sealing element having inner and outer sequences of arched projections. Body-base, flange-type rim and sealing element are made as a single unit from metal material, such as aluminum. Inner and outer sequences of the sealing element are arranged concentrically on the surface of the flange type rim in such a way that an annular space is formed between each other to receive the sealing surface of the element for activating the capsule of the beverage preparation device. Corresponding arched projections of the inner and outer sequences are continuous projections with circumferential gaps formed between them, and are arranged so that they overlap in circumferential direction outside the circumferential gaps of the inner and outer sequences when looking at the capsule from the side. Annular space between inner and outer sequences of arched projections does not contain any projections. Corresponding arched projections of the inner and outer sequences are arranged radially at an equal distance from each other along the circumference of the body-base, so that constant gaps are formed, passing along the circumference between the corresponding projections. Inner and outer sequences of arched projections are arranged at radial distance (d) of 0.6 to 1.2 mm, more preferably from 0.8 to 1.0 mm. Capsule contains a closing membrane connected to the body-base and/or the rim of the flange type of the capsule. Closing membrane is an aluminum foil.
