FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to transmission of Ethernet messages in a distributed hard real-time control system. Method of transmitting Ethernet messages in a distributed real-time system which implements a cyclic control algorithm in which there are a plurality of network nodes, at least one switch, interconnected by communication channels, which provides for transfer between nodes as normal frames (elastic traffic ET), which do not have strict restrictions on delivery time, and hard real-time frames (PB-traffic), frames have different header fields, wherein the PB-frames in the header contain a pointer to the frame delivery time, the switch has a local clock which are adjusted by incoming PB frames from the main clock of the system, switch checks the moment of receiving a PB-frame with a predetermined time window for detecting the possibility of transmitting to the recipient, and if the PB-frame cannot be delivered at the specified time, then it is distorted so that the receivers have detected this frame as incorrect, wherein the switch provides delivery of PB-frames to the recipient at preset time instants according to a schedule set in advance for each output port of the switch by configuration frames, wherein frames delivery time and schedule times are set relative to control cycle beginning.

EFFECT: technical result is reduction of frame delay in a network.
