FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to telecommunications. Method realizes transfer of heterogeneous traffic, in which there are multiple network devices, such as controller and switches operating on OpenFlow protocol, which provide forwarding between nodes real-time traffic of RT and elastic traffic of ET, traffic frames have different header fields, wherein the real-time traffic frames in the header contain an indicator of the frame sending time, the elastic traffic is transmitted in a standard manner in OpenFlow switches. OpenFlow switch provides delivery of PB-traffic to the recipient at pre-assigned moments in time according to the schedule from the traffic scheduler, wherein the schedule is set in advance for each switch at the SDN application level through interfaces and network functions.

EFFECT: reduced delay of frames and streams in SDN, increased throughput of network, reduced number of deleted frames from SDN, elimination of temporary conflicts between different traffic, possibility of early transfer of elastic traffic, before time of delivery of real-time traffic.
