FIELD: cable technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cable technology, in particular to a method for production of a low-frequency cable with cord string-insulation in a polyethylene sheath intended for use in communication lines. Method involves drawing copper wire, applying string-insulation, twisting star fours from insulated cores with winding of each four color-coded distinctive thread, wherein in quadruple two strands located along diagonal form working pair, four-strands are twisted into core by concentric layers with overlapping insulation from paper tapes, method involves drying the cable, performing a combined process of applying waist insulation from polyethylene terephthalate tape, a screen from aluminum polyethylene tape with longitudinally laid under it copper tinned wire and shells from light-stabilized polyethylene, simultaneously on the shell marking is applied.

EFFECT: simplified process of cable production due to reduced number of operations.
