FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to determining environment, situations or targets in wireless communication networks, namely, to location of mobile devices inside or relative to vehicle. To this end, the mobile device location determining system comprises a mobile computing device which includes a processor and a memory which stores program instructions executed by the processor to detect an identifier in each of the two or more asynchronous light sources detected by the light sensor, which includes the position of the light source, and determine the angle of incidence of the light wave received from at least one of said light sources. Besides, the system is configured to use at least a coordinate system having a reference point in the light sensor and a position of said light source to determine the location of the mobile device based on the at least partially determined angle of incidence and to communicate the location of the mobile device to the transport computer agents.

EFFECT: technical result is prevention of distraction of vehicle operator by mobile device content.
