FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building, particularly, to hardening surfaces of parts from titanium-based alloys. Method of chemical-thermal treatment of parts from titanium alloys includes oxidation and nitration, wherein saturation of surface with oxygen and nitrogen is carried out in atmosphere of air with nitrogen addition at pressure 1×10-2–1×10-1 mmHg and at temperature 690–710 °C.
EFFECT: higher hardness of surface layer of parts while maintaining allowable dimensions.
