FIELD: ice-breaking equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ice-breaking, particularly, to removal of snow-ice layer from road surfaces. Device for removal of snow-ice layer from road surface consists of discs having cutting edges and installed on two mating at an angle α <180° of axis. Discs cutting edges are wavy, and discs on axes provide their synchronous rotation and co-direction of waviness corrugation. At the same time discs have shape of ellipses with their co-directional larger semi-axles, and axes are interconnected by means of gimbal gear.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of efficiency of road surfaces cleaning from snow-ice layer by periodically varying normal and tangential stresses.
