SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method of controlling compressed air system (1) of a vehicle, wherein piston compressor (2) is driven by vehicle engine (6), wherein supply state of piston compressor (2) is controlled by means of feed control device (7) and control of supply control device (7) is carried out using compressor control module (8), wherein by means of piston processor (2) during loading phase in compressed air reservoir (5) compressed air is generated, wherein at least one measurement value is measured by means of at least one sensor (11) and then at least one measurement value is compared to the assigned threshold value and when threshold value is exceeded or underestimated, compressed air supply intensity is reduced by piston compressor (2) regulation.

EFFECT: control method of system (1) prevents unnecessary mechanical loads on the piston compressor of the vehicle.
