FIELD: engine devices and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: method for controlling the air flow supplied to the engine is intended for an engine comprising a supercharging air cooler and an electronic controller including instructions for execution. According to the instructions for execution, the level of condensate in the supercharging air cooler is determined. The flow of air into the engine is increased to a level exceeding the one required by driver of a vehicle, in which the engine is installed, without increasing the engine torque. At least one actuator connected to the engine is adjusted. At least one of the inlet throttle valve, an alternator, a spark plug, a camshaft and a fuel injector may be used for adjustment to maintain the torque in response to the level of condensate determined in the supercharging air cooler. An embodiment of the method for controlling the flow of air supplied to the engine and the engine system are disclosed.
EFFECT: prevent ignition misfire and maintain low level of condensate in the supercharging air cooler.
