FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of direct conversion (recovery) of energy of charged particles with multi-stage recovery. Ion flow conversion zone in the conical transducer of the expander is matched with the braking area, energy recovery of the charged particles and capacitance accumulation of electrostatic electricity in the supercapacitor of ionistor type. Energy of ions is provided with simultaneous recuperation of their energy due to compression, braking and interaction with nanoporous carbon current-conducting material of conical channel wall. Further, uncompensated ions are accelerated and directed into the suppressor channel under action of a longitudinal accelerating electric field, where neutral and charged particles of the opposite sign are separated from them by means of through channels made in walls of the suppressor body. Ion current flow of the same electric charge is directed to the circular scanning device and the multi-collector system of energy braking and recuperation, where ions are charged to annular multi-collector electrodes with a needle surface and their charge is compensated for by input of electrons from nanomodified carbon electrodes.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of energy recovery, reduced overall dimensions of the energy recuperator, possibility of energy recovery with simultaneous neutralization of ion charge and accumulation of electrostatic energy.
