FIELD: biochemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biochemistry, in particular to a method for increasing plant resistance to fungal infection caused by Sclerotiniaceae family fungi, involving increasing expression of AtRLP30 protein in said plant, as well as to a method of producing a transgenic plant with high resistance to a fungal infection caused by fungi of the family Sclerotiniaceae, involving transformation of a plant or plant cell using a nucleotide sequence encoding AtRLP30 or AtRLP30-like protein. Also disclosed is a method of screening for micro-associated molecular patterns (PAMPs/MAMPs) found in Sclerotinia spp or Botrytis ssp, involving expression in plant or in plant cell of protein AtRLP30, as well as a method for purifying MAMR available in Sclerotinia spp or Botrytis ssp, involving the use of AtRLP30 protein, or its extracellular regions. Invention also relates to a method for sensitizing a plant to fungal infection caused by Sclerotiniaceae family fungi, involving performing any of the above method on said plant.
EFFECT: invention enables effective production of a plant with high resistance to a fungal infection caused by fungi of the family Sclerotiniaceae.
