FIELD: package and storage.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to containers for transportation of spent nuclear fuel (SNF) of a research reactor for storage and processing. Packing kit for transportation and/or storage of spent fuel assemblies (SFA) of a nuclear reactor includes a protective container and a withdrawable part. SFA is arranged in tiers. Between cover of protective container and cover of upper tier damper is installed with support on end surface of upper cover. Each jacket comprises a central pipe, spacing discs interconnected by a central pipe, a shell having a support ring. SFA are arranged relative to axis of central pipe in two circular rows. Axes of channels in each row of upper cover are shifted relative to axes of channels of corresponding row of lower cover so that ends of cases with SFA of top cover can be arranged between cases with SFA of lower cover. Along the entire length of each jacket and part of the damper length there are two longitudinal slots for orientation of covers and a damper in the container. Guide for angular alignment of covers and a damper is installed inside the container housing with support on the bottom and internal end surface of the housing.
EFFECT: invention allows arrangement of the largest number of canisters with the SFA in the container.
