FIELD: storage and transportation of spent nuclear fuel.
SUBSTANCE: proposed container for transportation and/or storage of nuclear-reactor spent fuel assemblies has housing and bottom, internal pressurized safety cover, hood inserted in housing and provided with central cell and peripheral cells uniformly disposed over its circumference to receive spent fuel assembly boxes. Device also has damping members engageable with mentioned cover on its inner surface end, with housing bottom, and with housing internal wall, respectively. Hood is provided with external cylindrical segments and longitudinal radial sheet members, each of the latter being joined with diaphragms. Each peripheral cell of hood is formed by adjacent longitudinal radial sheet members, diaphragm sections disposed between adjacent longitudinal radial sheet members, and external cylindrical segment.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability of spent nuclear fuel storage.
