Adapter for dispensing device for fluid medium has longitudinal axis and comprises: a stopper configured to limit insertion along the longitudinal axis of the dispensing device into the adapter by applying a contact force in the longitudinal direction to the end surface of the dispensing device. Sealing is made with possibility of deformation by end surface with formation of sealing contact with end surface at end surface support into stopper. Housing configured to receive end surface and support stop and seal. Seal is arranged in case in recess with bottom. Body includes an internal, proximal inverted chamfer, which is located more proximal than the bottom, and more distally than the upper part of the stopper. Disclosed are an insert for an adapter, embodiments of a device for dispensing a small volume of a fluid medium and a method for dispensing a given small volume of a substance.
