SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to hair care. Hair fixation composition includes at least one polyglycosic polymer based on carboxylated starch esters, which is soluble in an alcohol-based solvent system, obtained by reacting at least one starch ester with at least two cyclic anhydrides, with the following structure (I):

in which R=H, RH or RA, or a combination thereof, wherein at least one R is RA and where RH is: -CO-R1, where R1 is C1-C21-alkyl group; and RA is: a) -CO-CH2-CH (R2) -COOH, where R2=H or C6-C18-an alkenyl group, or b) -CO-CH=CH-COOH; or c) -CO-CH-C (= CH2) -COOH; or d) -CO-C6H4-COOH, or e) -CO-C6H8-COOH; and where n = 10–500; solvent system based on alcohols, including at least one C1-C6-linear alcohol, C3-C6-trimethyl alcohol or mixture thereof in amount of 15 wt. %; and at least one cosmetically acceptable additive. Also disclosed is a method of producing the composition and use of a polyglucose polymer based on carboxylated starch esters as a hair fixing polymer.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides excellent fixation of wave in high humidity conditions.
