FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a reactor for sulfuric alkylation, which contains devices for loading isobutane, sulfuric acid, olefins and unloading reaction products, a central pipe, a housing made in the form of a horizontal cylindrical container with two elliptical bottoms. At that, the reaction volume of the cylindrical container is divided by partitions into cascades, in each of which there is a vertical cylindrical barrel with a diffuser in the lower part, a mixer is located in the diffuser zone, and in inner volume of shell along perimeter there are vertical reaction tubes, and on surface of shell in upper and lower parts there are windows, for discharge of vapours and isobutane on surface of cylindrical container there are unions. Reactor is characterized in that vertical reaction tubes have variable cross-section and are arranged with coaxial circular rows, wherein in the outer row the reaction tubes cross-section varies from the circular one in the lower part to the square one in the upper row, and in the internal row vice versa, besides, the windows in the upper part of the cup have a round shape and are located in vertical rows, and in the lower part of the window of elliptic shape, wherein the major semi-axis is located vertically, and in the central part of the mixer, additional triangle-shaped blades are installed above its blades, by upper end they enter the central pipe.
EFFECT: proposed sulfuric acid alkylation reactor with relatively simple design is capable of providing high output and quality of product.
