FIELD: manufacturing technology.

SUBSTANCE: hydroentangled non-woven sheet material can be produced according to the method, which contains: 0) optional provision of the polymer web on the carrier; a) providing an aqueous suspension containing short fibers and a surfactant; b) depositing an aqueous suspension on a carrier; c) removing the aqueous residue of the aqueous suspension deposited at step b) to form a fibrous web; b') depositing an aqueous suspension on the surface of the fibrous web formed at step c); c') removing aqueous residue of aqueous suspension deposited at step b'), to form a combined fibrous web; d) hydroentangling of the combined fibrous web and, optionally, e) drying the hydroentangled web and/or f) further processing and shaping of the dried, hydroentangled web to produce a final non-woven material.

EFFECT: hydroentangled non-woven sheet material obtained by the described method has low degree of surface inhomogeneity and contains low residual quantities of surfactants.
