FIELD: nuclear physics and equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nuclear power engineering and can be used mainly in closed nuclear fuel cycle (CNFC). Method includes recovery of components of oxide nuclear fuel during electrolysis of molten lithium chloride with addition of lithium oxide in amount of not less than 1 wt% using an oxygen-releasing anode from NiO or TiO2, doped with lithium oxide in amount of not less than 1 wt%. Electrolysis is carried out at anode current density of not higher than 0.3 A/cm2 and temperature not higher than 700 °C.
EFFECT: invention allows to simultaneously reduce holding of fuel before processing and to perform stable and long process of processing to produce pure metals – nuclear fuel components.
